Tuesday with Toya
Tuesday with Toya began in 2021 as a way to stay connected with fellow songwriters and artists during an isolating time and it quickly became a platform to celebrate the incredible talent in the Pacific Northwest. What started as a simple Instagram Live series has grown into 150 episodes featuring over 130 artists, from Tacoma’s hidden gems to rising regional stars. At its heart, Tuesday with Toya is about storytelling, creativity, and emotional truth. Each conversation invites listeners into the heart of the artist — how they create, what they’ve overcome, and why they keep making music. It’s a space for reflection, laughter, and genuine connection. I’m thrilled to bring Tuesday with Toya to Radio Tacoma and streaming platforms for Season 5, starting with my interview with neo-jazz alt-pop artist Raegan Leilani. Her sound is rich, textured, and rooted in the same creative spirit that makes Tacoma shine. I can’t wait to share more voices with you, one conversation at a time.

In this heart-centered episode, Toya sits down with Seattle-based singer-songwriter Leanne Wilkins of Leanne Wilkins & The Weathered to explore the stories behind her April 2025 full-length release, The Art of Letting Go. Together, they reflect on motherhood, navigating grief, and how Leanne’s lush, roots-influenced sound creates space for healing and release. A tender and inspiring listen for anyone processing change and finding beauty in the aftermath.
